Karen’s Adventures In Colour For January

Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Karen Haller

Hello colour lovers!

I love that I can work remotely, travelling the world which just happens to be my other great love to colour. This allows me to escape the UK winter and have my second ‘summer’ back home in Australia.

I’m someone who takes a million photos and I’ve selected a few of my colourful adventures for you from my time on the Gold Coast and Sydney. So come with me as I take you through my colourful month for January…

Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Beach Patrol Karen Haller
Gold Coast | Classic red and yellow of the surf life savers. These colours make them highly visible on the beach. Whenever I go to the beach I always look for the red and yellow flags – the message of ‘swim between the flags’ has been drilled into me since I was a child.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Frangipani Flower Karen Haller
Frangipani | If there was one flower that means summertime to me it’s the Frangipani. They come in beautiful pinks and apricot tones. This white tree is in my mum’s garden.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Beach Umbrella Karen Haller
Cronulla Beach | The perfect colour accompaniment to a summer’s day at the beach.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Cronulla Beach Rockpools Karen Haller
Cronulla Beach | Exploring the rock pools is still one of my favourite things to do at the beach. I just love the mix of brown, orange and rust tones.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Cronulla Beach Shells Karen Haller
Cronulla Beach | Collecting shells is another favourite pastime at the beach. I just love the colour combinations, their shapes and intricate design details. Isn’t mother nature simply amazing. I leave the shells at the beach as they are an animals future home. How lucky are they to have such beautifully designed homes.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Sydney Harbour Karen Haller
Sydney Harbour | One of my must do things when I’m in Sydney is take the Manly ferry. I often take the ferry during the day so it was a special treat to see the Harbour Bridge lit up at night.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Sydney Surry Hills Karen Haller
Sydney Surry Hills | If you instantly want to brighten up the inner city, colour and a playful design is the quickest way. It certainly makes waiting for your tram more enjoyable.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Rainbow Lorikeet Karen Haller
Rainbow Lorikeet | Can you see him? Isn’t he beautiful? It’s like they opened all the tins of paint and dipped into each of them. I spotted him on my coastal walk from Balmoral to Taronga on the north side of Sydney Harbour.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Sydney Harbour Bridge Karen Haller
Sydney Harbour | This is the view of Sydney Harbour from the Bamoral to Taronga walk. If you are in Sydney it’s really worthwhile doing. The views are spectacular.
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Wall Mural Karen Haller
Cronulla wall mural | More Rainbow Lorikeets on a Cronulla side street
Karens Adventures In Colour For January 2020 Qantas Karen Haller
Flying back to London | I love getting the window seat so that I can look at the vast sky and the world below.
