Happy Colourful International Podcast Day!

international podcast day 2022

Hello colour lover!

I recently discovered that Friday 30th September is International Podcast Day which is today! So to celebrate I thought I’d share with you my most popular podcast interviews focusing naturally, on the fascinating world of colour.

So take a scroll down and see which of this colourful selection piques your interest. Settle in with a cuppa or listen while you’re in the car or out walking. Enjoy!

The TV Carpenter Podcast

If you’re in the UK, chances are you’ve seen Wayne on the many interior design shows, which will come as no surprise given he’s known as The TV Carpenter.

We chat about all things colour, but the surprise for me during our discussion was to learn that Wayne is colour blinded.

You can check out the podcast here: The TV Carpenter Podcast.

Undercover Architect Podcast

international podcast day 2022 undercover architect

I chat with Undercover Architect host, architect Amelia Lee (Australia), on what she feels in a big missing piece in how we navigate the interior design of our homes and that is the conversation around colour psychology, as she feels that an understanding of colour psychology has such far-reaching benefits for our lives. So, that’s what we dived into.

We discussed what prompted me to write “The Little Book of Colour”, what is colour psychology, how to understand the positive and adverse impacts of colour on your behaviour, how to combine colours together effectively, understanding your colour personality across all aspects of your life and environment and much more.

The Inside Stylists Podcast

international podcast day 2022 inside stylist

It’s not often I get to sit in the same room when I’m being interviewed on a podcast. So this one was super special as Emma Morton-Turner, host of Inside Stylists podcast and I were sitting comfortably on her sofa with a cup of tea and chatting away.

We recorded this podcast shortly after Penguin released my book, “The Little Book of Colour. How to use the psychology of colour to transform your life”. And that’s the direction Emma, who is one of the top UK interior stylists took our chat in – on the impact that colour has on a deep personal level, in our every day life without us even being aware of it.

You can listen to the podcast here: The Insider Stylists Podcast.

Low Tox Life Podcast – The World of Colour Psychology

international podcast day 2022 low tox life

Fellow Australian Alexx Stuart hosts the Low Tox Life Podcast where she provides real support for real people wanting to make better choices for their health and our planet, and that is the spring board for our conversation – how colour can impact us and how we can use it to improve our quality of life and our wellbeing.

It was while Alexx was sharing that she couldn’t stand the colour ‘tomato red’ that she had an amazing epiphany moment and understood why she had buried that memory deep in her subconscious. It was a real goose bump moment. It’s something you’ll want to hear.

You can check out the podcast here: Low Tox Life Podcast.

I hope that you enjoyed listening to this section of colourful podcasts. I’d love to hear what your biggest take away is, or maybe you had a few. Just pop your thoughts in the comments box below.
